Young Leaders: Women in Fire focuses on providing a space for young women to see that there is a place for them in the fire service.
We not only aim to build confidence in the workforce
but to teach instrumental physical and mental skills
that will be pertinent to daily life as a future firefighter.​
Our goal is $10,000 to purchase a 14' box truck that we will convert into a mobile simulation trailer. This trailer will not only allow us to safely train in entanglement, confined space, bailout, and search and rescue scenarios, but also meet students in further neighborhoods who might not otherwise have the access to such a free and career-altering program.
